Ms. Gaynel Curry, Adviser in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights
Ms. Gaynel Curry, Adviser in the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights addressed the 8th Annual Colloquium held by the UB Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national Political Science Honor Society, on the evening of April 10th. In addressing the theme – Bringing an End to Human Trafficking – Ms. Curry spoke to instruments in international law, to which states have committed themselves, that are intended to offer protections to women and children who are the primary victims of the global trade in human begins, and exploitation thereof. She sat on a panel of three experts that included Professor Angela Duger from the Harvard School of Public Health, and Professor Melissa Labonte from Fordham University. University of Bridgeport has DPI-NGO status at the United Nations, and is a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI).
